This is where the family blogs are located.
Right now there are two, "Us" and "Adam". The DotNetNuke blogging module does not currently allow more than one editor of a blog, so I cannot create an "Us" blog that both Heather and I can edit from our regular logins. Since Heather never really created her own, she just used the "Us" one, and I almost never posted to "Us" but just used my own, I figure this will work for now. I can easily create a seperate user account that is called "heathernadam" or some such, move the "Us" blog to that one, and then we can create one specifically for Heather. In fact, I can play with the database such that I constantly switch who is in charge of the "Us" blog as needed, but to automate it and make it easy will take some work. That may be the first project I work on for this site...

Generally speaking I am good at going with the flow. I do sometimes get bummed when something I really wanted to do has to take a back burner. On the bright side, it is for something else I really want to do.

I was toastmaster at our meeting today. Names have been removed because it seemed right. The promised entry (to facebook friends anyhow) looking at the "Helicoptor Parent" stuff will be written soon. I just have to finish an upgrade on the Kids Ministry program for multi-campus usage first.

My grandfather passed on this week. I had been asked to do the eulogy for the service yesterday. It was not easy to deliver, but I hear the family appreciated it and felt it really spoke well to their memories of him. I'll post it here in case anyone that was there, or anyone else really, wants to have it for a keepsake.

Gideon has passed the 6 month mark. In all honesty I am glad he has. The first 4 months he was pretty much an eating/diaper messing/crying/sleeping machine. While this may seem cute during the sleeping, and even possibly eating stages it really got boring fairly quickly.(Unless you are a Grandparent or most mothers.) As he started to interact with his environment things started to change. Here are some random ramblings about him.

A while back I mentioned I may use this as an outlet for the various writings I did to speak in Toastmaster. I have not yet done that, even though I was Toastmaster at two meetings to this point. Correcting that I post for you today the script I created and used for last weeks meeting of Toastmasters here at DRC.

If I had to summarize the last few months into a couple of words. I think I would use the words changing and adapting. Read on to hear why.

Ah, springtime! It seems changes made in the spring always have a better chance of working than those made at New Years. In that mindset this week I embarked on what I believe will be the hardest thing I have ever done. In all fairness I have done a little bit of prepping over the last few weeks. I do maintain that it is impossible to prepare for it though. No, this is not a post which was written for release three months ago. It is current, and could be controversial depending on your views.
